5 things to look out for in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017

1. Team India’s form - The first and the biggest thing to look for will be the form of the Indian team in the tournament as the team will be going in the tournament with a new captain as MS Dhoni has left the job of the captain in the month of January. Virat Kohli, who is one of the best players around the globe right now, will be leading the team and the way he leads the team will be the biggest thing to look out for.

If he is able to perform well in the tournament then this will give him confidence for the under 2019 world cup as well or else he has to build a team of his own in order to do well in the 2019 world cup as this time captaincy to Kohli came as a surprise and he was not ready for the Champions trophy 2017.

2. Title defence of Indian team – Indian team will be going as the defending champions in the tournament and the way they will play in the tournament will be the biggest thing to look out for. In 2013, team India played a gamble by going in the cup with new opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. At present, Rohit is out with an injury and Dhawan is in poor form. So, Indian team have to try new a new combination in order to find success on the tour and this will be the thing to look out for.
Also, the team will have veterans like Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra in the team, who recently made a comeback to the team. This is another fact that will be the thing to look out for as these two will have a great role to play in team India's title defence.

3. The under 19 bunch – The last under 19 world cup was played in 016 and few players out of that camp has made it to their national squad, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Rishabh Pant are the tow example of it. The under 19 bunch of last year’s world cup will be the best thing to look out for as this will the first ICC tournament for them and this will lay stone to their future to show their case for the 2019 world cup as well.

4. India-Pakistan match – The mouth-watering clash between India and Pakistan will take place on June 4 at Edgbaston. This game will be the biggest attention drawer of the tournament as both the teams will leave no stone unturned to secure a win over other.

In the year 2013, it was Indian team that defeated the arch rivals and continued the trend of defeating Pakistan ICC trophies as well. Surely, the Indian team will look to continue their track record and again defeat Pakistan. This game will be the biggest game to look out for in the tournament.

5. The host's form – The form of the England cricket team in the tournament will be a big thing to look out for as the form in which this team is, there are fair chances of the team winning the tophy. They are one of the favourites to win the cup as the batting order is the best suited for those conditions where the team needs big scores like e350+. Their batsman showed their class in the home series against Sri Lanka and also in the series against India in India. Surely, they would like to replicate the past form and win the tournament, which they couldn’t win the year 2013 as they lost the finals to India in a 20-over thriller.
